I imagine this taking place during the final battle, and Simba watches in horror as the hyenas rip his uncle, whom he had promised not to kill, to shreds. I imagine one half of Simba would feel guilty and responsible for the death since he threw him off Pride Rock to the hyenas below, but half of him would feel a sense of justice, as Scar would finally be gone, but the former half of himself kicked in.
